Being from the city of Houston, I am always bothered whenever someone tells me that there is nothing to do there. A visit to the city of Houston can either be an average experience or a cultural and culinary extraordinary experience! Below are some tips and places to check out while visiting the city.
Asian Stops to Make

– Asian Grocery Stores: All over Chinatown and Vietnamese-Town, in Houston there are tons of Asian Grocery markets, super markets and smaller stores that serve the Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Filipino and other Asian Culture communities of the area. Pizza – Star Pizza at 2111 Norfolk St. This is one of the oldest, most respected and hands down the most delicious pizza place in the city of Houston. Whether you are a fan of regular or deep dish (one of the best deep dish pizzas in Texas) style pizza, this pizza place has what you need to satisfy your pizza craving.
Noodles: if you need a noodle fix then you should try House of Bowls at 6650 Corporate Dr. From juicy chicken portions, to noodles prepared everyway imaginable under the sun, this place is sure to have the Asian dish that you will love.
Cafeteria: without a doubt, the best place to get quality, tasty cafeteria food is Cleburne Cafeteria on 3606 Bissonnet. They offer a wide variety of foods, and offer huge portions. The prices can be a bit expensive if you are not prepared to eat a ton of food.
